Our Mission:The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers,
will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare
for, and respond to emergencies down the street, across the country and around
the world.
The Oregon Pacific Chapter
serves more than 711,000 individuals in Benton,
Coos, Douglas, Lane, and Linn counties.
Our Chapter has over 2,200 volunteers, who make up 99%of our total workforce.
Last year, the Oregon Pacific
Chapter provided relief to over 400 victims of 141
disaster/emergency incidents, helped 292 military families
by facilitating emergency messages between our deployed men and women in uniform
and their loved ones here at home, trained over 28,500 adults and children safety and lifesaving skills, conducted community education presentations about disaster preparedness and prevention to more than 9,800 adults and children, and collected more than 20,000 units of blood in our coverage area that were distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The American Red Cross is
not a government agency and it relies on the generosity of the people of Oregon to fulfill its
mission to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters and other lifesaving
emergencies.
In addition to our
time-honored Disaster Services, Health and Safety Services, Service to the
Armed Forces and Blood Services, The Oregon Pacific Chapter of the American Red

Program and Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
